Online Service History

Most vehicle manufacturers are now steering away from physical service books that we once stamped when the vehicle service was carried out. The main reasons for this are to prevent false entries in a book, save paper and costs, and most importantly make it harder for independent garages to update the history on all vehicles.

Independent access

Fortunately here at Burch Motor Works we have Independent access to the BMW & MINI databases to update the electronic online service history to show on the vehicle records the vehicle was serviced in our workshop. The is stored on the database, then printed out and uploaded on to the cars media system/ I-drive to display all the services carried out.

A fraction of the cost of a dealership

Garages that do not sign up to this or that run non legitimate BMW diagnostics will not be able to do this, and will leave gaps in your service history record, something that could become a problem should you come to sell the car or trade the car in. So please do not be fooled by dealerships claiming it is them only that can update the vehicle history of your vehicle. As that is not true, independent garages such as us can carry out the exact same procedure at a fraction of the cost of a dealership service with the same or higher expertise!

Not just BMW and Mini

We have also signed up to all other manufacturers online service history databases to allow us to service other vehicle makes that visit our workshop. Please think Independent before thinking the dealership is your only option when servicing your newer vehicles!
