Forte – Power Clean
At Burch Motor Works, we are proud to offer the Forte – Power Clean Machine to offer to our customers. This machine can be used to clean internal engine components as preventive maintenance or to rectify running faults in some cases.
The Forte - Power clean machine
The Forte - Power clean machine has four functions allowing us to remove the carbon and vanish build up on several engine components. Our most popular cleaning procedures are the Intake system clean, which allows us to place an injector to the throttle intake which applies a cleaning agent to the intake manifold every 30 seconds for 2 hours and the Diesel Particulate Filter Cleaning procedure. This allows cleaning of the DPF whilst still fitted to the vehicle.
Modern engine cleaning
Most modern engines suffer with internal carbon and varnish build up, mostly due to the use of bio fuels and EGR - Exhaust gas re circulation fitted to engines to reduce exhaust emissions. Therefore the carbon build up over the years will require removal/ breaking down before affecting the running and reliability of the engine.
Air Intake System Clean £129 inc vat
Our most popular cleaning procedure are the Intake system clean, which allows us to place an injector to the throttle intake which applies a cleaning agent to the intake manifold every 30 seconds for 2 hours. The softens are removes the carbon from the intake manifold and valves. Which in turn will increase engine performance and MPG.
This is recommended to be carried out every 5 years or 50,000 miles.
We take before and after pictures or the intake throttle valve to show the cleaning results. (Extra cost if intake manifold is removed to show before and after results).
DPF Heavy Power Clean £179 inc vat
The next popular function is the on car DPF – Diesel Particulate Filter Cleaning procedure. This allows cleaning of the DPF whilst still fitted to the vehicle. Meaning a great saving of labour where otherwise the procedure would be to remove and manually clean or replace the DPF.
The Machine allows us to apply a cleaning agent directly to the front of the DPF. Letting the additive soak for an amount of time, then run the engine to break down and burn off the excess soot and small ash particles trapped in the DPF. Then a flush agent is added to neutralise the cleaning reaction.
We provide before and after back pressure or soot accumulation diagnostic print outs to show the affect of cleaning the DPF.
We as do BMW, recommend DPF Cleaning is to be carried out every 10 years or 120,000 miles. However premature blocking of the DPF is usually caused by incorrect running/ fault of the engine. Which we recommend is diagnosed first before DPF Cleaning at our investigation rate.
Fuel Injection Power Clean – £129 inc vat
Allows direct cleaning of the fuel injectors, intake valves (indirect injection) and the combustion chamber with a highly concentrated cleaning solution without the need to remove injectors or dismantle the engine
Fuel injectors become problematic for many reasons but by far the commonest reason for fuel injector failure in modern petrol and diesel engines is the build up of deposits inside the injector that stop them working properly. Low quality fuels and driving styles also bring their own set of problems.
Forte’s Petrol & Diesel Injection Cleaner and the Power Clean Machine is the best way to remove the contamination and deposits from within the fuel injectors to restore the vehicles performance, reliability and fuel efficiency.
Diesel Turbo Power Clean – £129 inc vat
A highly effective treatment to clean turbine and variable geometry vanes of diesel turbochargers without dismantling. The treatment is injected directly into the combustion chamber to gain effective results.
Variable vane turbo chargers are a common sight on diesel engined vehicles these days. They were introduced to bring a more ‘controlled’ application of the turbo chargers effects on engine performance throughout the rev range. At slow engine speeds they act like a small turbo charger, whilst at higher engine RPM they act like a bigger, more powerful unit. This is achieved by a mechanisum that has little movable vanes which can direct exhaust flow onto the turbine blades. The vane angles are adjusted via an actuator. The angle of the vanes vary throughout the engine RPM range to optimize turbine behaviour.
Because the turbo charger is positioned in the exhaust flow it is susceptible to carbon deposits accumulating on its mechanisms that stop it working as it should. Often the variable vane turbo charger is negatively effected by the failure of another part of the engine that causes only partial combustion, a blocked injector is a good example. However, variable vane turbo chargers can also become clogged up with carbon deposits just because they are not ‘exercised’ enough.
